Chinese Warriors
Chinese pottery figures of three soldiers wearing breast plates, helmets and tunics. One with hands clasping the plumage of a peacock, one with hands embracing a black panther and one with hands clasping a serpentined snake.
The three sculptures are decorated in sancia glazed green, blue, amber and cream. Their faces and extreamities remain unglazed in the natural clay colour. One soldier with minor restoration to the tunic. 17th to 18th century.
